What we have achieved

Pro Food is proud to be a pioneer of the circular economy. Its key achievements include:

  • The development of a recycling supply chain for PET bottles used in the production of new food packaging.
  • The publication of a sectoral EPD (Environmental Product Declaration) featuring an LCA analyses for 33 products.
  • The successful implementation of PET tray recycling.
  • The successful implementation of expanded polystyrene (EPS) tray recycling.
  • The publication of a shelf-life and comparative LCA study on packaging for fruit and vegetables.

These initiatives aim to provide objective data for an accurate assessment of the environmental impacts of packaging and packaged products.

On the communication front, Pro Food publishes and distributes press releases, regularly manages its social media channels, and develops advertising campaigns. The most recent institutional campaign is a multi-subject one that associates different types of packaging with various sports disciplines, each highlighting the features and values of the packaging by comparing them to those of a sport.

2025 advertising campaign
